Elektromekaniska AB was the name of the company when it was founded in the year 1910 and it was renamed as Elektrolux after the merger in 1919 with Lux AB and Axel Wenner-Gren, a Swedish entrepreneur was behind this venture. It was 1957 when the name was finally changed legally to Electrolux.
